NeuSens is a line of cosmogenic neutron probes for measuring soil moisture content at different spatial scales. The probes are either stationary or mobile (NeuSens rovers). NeuSens probes incorporate new patented technologies.
NeuSens-1-S: Small-area sensor. Measures soil moisture at the small horizontal scale of meters and vertical scale of decimeters. It is a tool for measuring soil moisture at a point or for high-resolution mapping of soil moisture over small areas (hectometers). More…
NeuSens-1-W: Wide-area sensor. Measures soil moisture over wide areas by reducing the influence of small scale variations of soil moisture (the road effect). It is a tool for monitoring of soil moisture over time or for mapping of soil moisture over large areas (kilometers). More… coming soon…
NeuSens-1-M: Medium-area sensor. Measures soil moisture over intermediate-scale areas by reducing the influence of small-scale and large-scale contributions, and focusing on the intermediate scale. It is a tool for mapping of soil moisture over large areas (kilometers) with high spatial resolution. Under development…
NewSens-1-W: Wide-area soil-moisture sensor for agricultural applications. Measures average soil moisture over the horizontal footprint of hectometers and relays the information in real time to a computer to aid in farmer’s irrigation scheduling. The probe can be stationary or mobile (rover). More…
